The Piker Raider Pit is one of the early combat encounters in the Destiny 2 Renegades campaign. It drops you into a small arena filled with Fallen Pikers, and your main objective is to defeat the Piker crew and collect the illicit cargo.
The biggest problem many players face is that this encounter can freeze or glitch, preventing any enemies from spawning. In this guide, we’ve gathered the best tips to help you complete the Piker Raider Pit in Destiny 2 and get past the frustrating bugs.
How to Complete the Piker Raider Pit in Destiny 2

The Piker Raider Pit appears early in the Renegades mission, connected to Spider and the Piker Syndicate. You reach it shortly after visiting Spider’s Barge, facing Fallen Pikers that turn against you.
It’s a small arena-style area that you reach after moving through rooms filled with tripmines and Piker enemies. Once you drop in, waves of Pikers are triggered, and your objectives are to defeat the Piker crew and collect the illicit cargo.
How to Collect 5 Illicit Cargo in the Piker Raider Pit

During the Piker Raider Pit in Destiny 2 one of your objectives is to collect 5 illicit cargo. You will be tasked with picking up cargo crates scattered throughout the arena while dealing with waves of Piker enemies.
The cargo crates are marked by small white dots and look like crates. Walk up to a crate and hold the interact button to pick it up.
Once you have the cargo, head to the area marked with a downward arrow and press the interact button again to deliver it. Repeat this process until you have collected and delivered all five pieces to complete the objective.
How to Fix Enemy Spawn Issues in the Piker Raider Pit
Sometimes, when you reach the area where the objective says “Defeat the Piker Crew,” nothing happens. No enemies spawn, and there may not even be an objective pointer, leaving you stuck in the room.
To fix this, I tried three different steps, and usually, one of them works:
Step 1: Clear every enemy in the hallway before the pit without using the tripmines to kill the two Pikers. Shoot the mines first, then walk in and finish the Pikers yourself, and finally move into the pit.
Step 2: If you’re already stuck, return to Orbit and restart the mission from the very beginning instead of using a checkpoint. When you load in, unequip your Renegade abilities, play up to the pit, and then re-equip them when prompted. This step has worked for me.
Step 3: After freeing the Eliksni, wait until the mission text says “Eliminate the Pikers” before killing the two enemies beyond the tripmines. Killing them too early can stop the next wave from appearing.
I hope these steps help you fix the Piker Raider Pit bug in Destiny 2 and enjoy completing the Renegades mission.
