Final Reverberation I is a short side quest in Wuthering Waves that connects directly to the mystery surrounding a missing professor. However, some players may encounter a bug right at the start with the “Deliver the part to I.R.I.S.” objective. This guide walks you through the full quest and also explains how to fix the bug if it occurs.
Deliver the Part to I.R.I.S.
To begin the quest, track Final Reverberation I from your side quests menu and head to Startorch Academy. Your objective here is to deliver the recovered part to I.R.I.S.
Interacting with I.R.I.S. will trigger a short introductory cutscene. During the analysis, the system reveals that the item is linked to a professor who has gone missing, prompting you to investigate further.
Travel to the Professor’s Old Camp
After the conversation ends, your objective updates and sends you to the location where the professor once stayed.
Use a Resonance Beacon to fast travel to Roya Frostland, then follow the quest marker from the beacon to reach a small abandoned camp in the area.
Use the Utility Sensor
At the camp, activate the Utility Sensor to scan the surroundings. This will reveal an interactable object nearby.
Look for a blue box at the site and interact with it to read Discarded Log I. The log contains the professor’s final thoughts and explains what happened before their disappearance.
As soon as the discarded log is read, Final Reverberation I is completed automatically. You will receive Medium Resonance Potion x2, Medium Sealed Tube x2, and 10,000 Shell Credits as your rewards.
Bug Note: Trouble Delivering the Part to I.R.I.S.
This side quest is currently bugged for many players. In some cases, you can’t hand the part to I.R.I.S., even if you’re standing right in front of her. The quest still shows Deliver the parts to I.R.I.S., but talking to her doesn’t give you the option to complete the handover.
How to fix it
- Take a break from the quest, do other tasks, or log out and come back after a daily reset. Sometimes the handover option appears the next day.
- Position I.R.I.S. so she is sitting with her back in the lower-left corner of the screen and her legs stretched out, then interact with her again at around 4:14 PM in-game.
- If you’re still running into this bug, just wait 24 hours and try again the next day.
