Kilju is a simple sugar wine in My Winter Car and one of the best early-game money-making methods. It’s cheap to start, easy to manage, and perfect for players who want a steady income while working on other tasks. If you know the correct kilju recipe, fermentation timing, and how selling works, you can turn it into a reliable source of cash.
This guide explains how to make kilju in My Winter Car, how long it takes to ferment, and the smartest way to sell it for profit.
Ingredients To Make Kilju
You can buy the following items from the PSK Fuel Station:
- Sugar – You’ll need 6 bags for each kilju batch.
- Yeast – Only 1 bag is needed per batch.
- Juice Bottles
How to Prepare the Kilju Bucket
First, find the bucket in the bathroom of the player’s house. Take it to the shower and fill it with water. Once the bucket is full, add 6 bags of sugar and 1 bag of yeast into the water.
After adding the ingredients, seal the bucket by closing the lid, and the fermentation process will start automatically.
Kilju Fermentation Time Explained
Once the bucket is sealed, the kilju needs time to ferment. During this process, you’ll hear bubbling or popping sounds coming from the bucket. When those sounds completely stop, the kilju is ready.
The fermentation process usually takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes of real time, with the bubbling gradually slowing down until it completely stops.
Bottling Kilju
After fermentation is complete, take empty plastic juice bottles and dip them into the bucket to fill them with kilju. Make sure each bottle is capped, and keep all bottles from the same batch together to maintain quality. A full, properly brewed batch typically produces around 20 bottles.
How to Sell Kilju

Kilju can be sold to Jouko, the neighbor next door, living in a townhouse in the village, easy to spot in his turquoise sweatpants and beanie. He is at home in the evening, and you can transport kilju using any vehicle with enough space.
To sell, place a bottle on the table next to him and wait for him to taste it. The money in his hand increases with each bottle, and you don’t need to take it after every one.
After 3 bottles, Jouko will ask you to drink one with him before selling more. He may ask you to drink again every 1–5 bottles after that. You won’t get paid for the kilju you drink, and it’s safe to drink up to 3 high-quality bottles before passing out.
The player earns up to 170 MK per bottle for well-brewed kilju, while using 5 sugar packs instead of six drops, the value is around 130 MK per bottle.
