Step 1: Obtain a Zero-Degree Challenge Ticket
To access the Winter Challenge Map, you’ll first need a Zero-Degree Challenge Ticket.
A newly added Mysterious Merchant sells these tickets on the Farm map. Each one costs 6,000 currency, and the merchant only carries three at a time.
While you’re there, make sure to pick up frostbite ointment as well. The winter map applies a cold effect, and staying exposed for too long leads to frostbite, which slowly drains your health.
Step 2: How to Travel to the Winter Zero Degree Challenge Map
After you get the Zero Degree Challenge Ticket, head to the NPC ferry operator. You’ll find him at a small land bridge in the far corner of the sawmill area on the Farm map.
If you’re carrying a Zero Degree Challenge Ticket, talk to him, and he’ll take you straight to the Winter Zero Degree Challenge Map.
Once you arrive, you’ll spawn right in the challenge area, and the cold starts affecting you almost immediately. Keep an eye on your cold meter, and use frostbite ointment whenever it gets too high. It clears frostbite and stops your health from dropping for a short time.
